COMMON QUESTIONS
A little clarity
before the next step.
Find answers about publishing with ScholarPal, bringing an archive and getting your team started.
Who is ScholarPal for?
ScholarPal connects publishers, editors, authors, reviewers and production teams working on journals and academic books. Each person’s workspace reflects their assigned responsibilities.
Can each journal keep its own identity?
Journals can have their own branding, publishing information and configured workflows. Discuss your website and domain requirements during onboarding.
How does peer review work?
Editors coordinate invitations, review files, reports and decisions. Review models can be configured at journal level; editors remain responsible for checking what is shared with reviewers.
Can we bring an existing archive?
Start with an inventory of issues, articles, metadata and files. The team will assess the material, agree the migration scope and plan validation before launch.
How do authors and reviewers get started?
Use the account or registration route provided by your journal. Reviewers should follow their invitation and use the invited email address. Publisher registration is for organisations managing journals.
What does a plan cost?
Contact the team with your journal or book portfolio, workflows and migration needs. A proposal can then reflect your organisation’s publishing scope.
Who should I contact about a manuscript?
Contact the journal editor for decisions, review progress or deadlines. Contact platform support for access problems or technical issues.
